Many years ago, Ingemann Maskinfabrik developed their own version of the Vacuum Table. They use it extensively in their production to hold workpieces in place during milling.
The people at the machine shop, located on the outskirts of Roskilde, knew that many other machine shops could also benefit from the tool. They wanted to create more visibility and interest in the product — and that’s where Grønbech PR and HR came into the picture.
Working with Grønbech on the campaign and general storytelling resulted in several new customers for Ingemann Maskinfabrik as well as an improved and continuous presence online and on social media.
Ingemann Maskinfabrik near Roskilde is a highly specialised company that has processed workpieces with high precision in many different materials since 1975, for example aluminium, stainless steel, metal, copper, plastic, etc. The company also assists other businesses with product development, product optimisation, and prototyping.
Over the years, Ingemann Maskinfabrik has developed some truly unique tools, initially for their own use. One of these tools is the so-called Vacuum Table.
A brilliant tool gets renewed attention
For many years, Ingemann Maskinfabrik has produced and used the Vacuum Table to process milled workpieces. The Vacuum Table secures the workpieces by using suction to make them stick to the surface, preventing they from shifting during processing. Its modular design makes the setup very flexible. Changeovers and workpiece swaps are also made very easy and quick.
“We’ve always been happy to use the Vacuum Table. We’ve sold them to a few other machine shops over the years, but we wanted to reach a broader audience so that more craftsmen could enjoy all the benefits of the Vacuum Table. We just didn’t succeed in creating the right visibility,” says Bo Ingemann and continues,
“That’s why we started looking for a PR agency. We didn’t want these super intense salespeople, but we wanted an agency that shared the same values as ours — and Grønbech was the perfect match.”
Campaign established contact with new customers
Together with Ingemann Maskinfabrik, Grønbech developed a major Vacuum Table campaign that included films, images, website content, PR, and social media posts.
“Since we started working with Grønbech, we have received several inquiries from potential customers for the Vacuum Table. They tell us that they saw it online and that they are interested in hearing more about it,” says Bo Ingemann, adding,
“In conversations with customers, we’ve also been able to use the films and images that were created as part of the promotion for the Vacuum Table. The material helps us explain what the Vacuum Table looks like and how it works.”
Boost for social media
As is the case with many other small and medium-sized specialist companies, social media were not a high priority for Ingemann Maskinfabrik.
The company has had profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook for a few years, but new content was rarely posted.
“When we started working with Grønbech, our Facebook profile didn’t have a whole lot of followers, while the LinkedIn profile fared a bit better. The number of followers and the level of engagement on our Facebook profile have exploded since we began working with Grønbech. There’s also been a good amount of growth on LinkedIn,” says Bo Ingemann and adds,
“We simply don’t have the time to create content and maintain the profiles on Facebook and LinkedIn, so we appreciate Grønbech’s assistance. They make sure that new content is continuously created on the profiles, and they take care of all the practical matters of posting it and responding to comments.”
Easy collaboration
“When we receive texts, images, and films for approval, we have a quick chat on the phone with Grønbech about any changes, and they take care of the rest. Working with them is so easy and gives us time to focus on the things we’re good at,” says Bo Ingemann.
